Since Sunday was a busy night for TV viewers, many of you may have missed this week’s Kourtney and Kim Take New York. Breaking away from what seems to be a content-lacking season, the Kardashian’s tackle the important issues this week like why Kourtney and Scott sleep in separate beds and why Kim is being such a b*tch to everyone.
Well, we find out that Kourtney and Scott share separate rooms because he is a difficult sleeper and moves around a lot at night. Yes, this was actually dragged on all season long. Despite being rich and famous, even poor Scott shares the same problem half the world faces. I guess celebs are really are like us, after all. Moving on, “The Khloe Whisperer” sits the couple down to talk to them about the importance of sleeping together and somehow this seems to click.
Next, the sisters go to an appearance and are faced by the awkwardness of Kim’s negative attitude and refusal to talk to Khloe. Despite appearing strong, Khloe tells Kourtney how hurt she is that Kim called her an “evil f—king ugly little troll” and doesn’t care to apologize. When Kim confides in Kris about her fight with Khloe, Kris reminds her that he hates Khloe and to just get over it as he stuffs his face with pizza and dazes off into nothing. Throughout the episode, we see Kim’s growing annoyance towards Kris as he doesn’t care to clean up his mess and always challenges her to what he later admits to Kourtney is a dominance struggle the two have against each other.
After a whole lot of New York City scenic clips and throws to Mason acting drugged off candy, we get to the last 5 minutes of the show which of course, was the climatic point. Kim finally tells Khloe what viewers have waited all season long to hear: she’s unhappy with her marriage and thinks she rushed into it. Well, duh…I could have guessed that from the moment I saw that staged engagement episode. Anyway, she continues to say that she doesn’t like the person she’s become and admits she was too caught up with the fairytale of it all. As most normal people who really want their marriage to work would first think of sitting down and talking out their problems, Kim says she’s not sure if she’ll even wait till the filming of the show is done before leaving her marriage. After all, she has to do what makes her happy even if that means ending something that never really started. Meanwhile, at this point, klueless Kris is in the dark of it all as Kim hasn’t shed light on her awkward attitude towards him but instead, tells him nothing’s wrong.
Only a few more anti-climatic episodes to go before we really see the downfall of their lack- lustre marriage.
