The List: Back to school guide!

Its that time of year again, to break out the backpacks, start brownbagging lunches and early morning classes are replacing evenings out partying. Yes you may have 8 am classes, or maybe you are stranded on campus for thirteen hour days, however there is no excuse to let go of great style.

Invest in Leggings comfortable to tuck into boots and worn with a simple blazer this is an easy go to look that can be dressed up with the right watch, hat and maybe a little lipstick, or gloss. We are loving the Gap Knit button leggings and for $24.50 you can pick them up in all available colours. (we suggest grey, and black as must haves).

Next build up a wardrobe of blazers, the ultimate in post-secondary chic. Perfectly fitted blazers worn with everything from a hoodie, to a blouse are the easiest way to look classroom chic. Crest details, piping, lots of navy, or a simple boyfriend cut, invest in a few different blazers to carry you through fall. We love the selection at Gap starting under $100.

For days when all you need is a notebook, pen, wallet, and cell phone, a great crossbody bag is an essential piece. Available at Michael Kors, we are obsessing over the Hamilton Crossbody (priced under $150). Go for any option in black since this will be a mini investment piece for your school wardrobe, and opt for sturdy leather that will last the full school year, including the blistering winter.

Now if you’re like me and rely on handwritten notes, then snap up a collection of great notebooks, and pens. Moleskins in simple black have been the poison of choice for countless writers and artists of the past so those are a great option and for pens check out STAPLES for these Parker Jotter Pens for around $7.

Last but not least for all of those late nights you’ll be spending studying, you’ll need a few morning rituals to get you by. Follow these three easy steps :
1. Via instant Coffee (available at Starbucks) (12 pc box $14.95)
2. Sunglasses to cover the bags, and keep you looking rested. We love Gucci with Bamboo Detailing $344 )

3. Play the Ipod at full blast to pick you up (we suggest downloading latest songs like Peacock Katy Perry, Make Me Wanna Die Taylor Momsen, and Liberty Walk Miley Cyrus,) all available at the iTunes store.

Now remember the best way to build a good reputation at school, be nice, be social, and show up on time for classes, well and a coffee every now and then for the TA might be a nice added touch. Good luck this semester.
