A few weeks ago, we visited the Accessories Show at the Javits Center in Manhattan, NY. There were so many brands ranging from huge corporations to local designers, who showcased a vast array of items from handbags to jewelry to shoes and clothing. Young designer, Zara Terez, 24, displayed her line of bags for the modern woman. The line, which fuses modern textiles and shapes with vintage patterns, is for the bold fashionista. If you’re looking for “one of a kind” pieces, Zara Terez is the way to go.

Designer Zara Zimmerman’s vision to break through the fashion barriers of
outrageously priced, look-alike “it bags,” inspired the line Zara Terez which is a collection of chic and original designs that flaunt expressive style and personality.

Zara Terez offers unique silhouettes in a variety of supple leathers and materials. With the idea in mind that a bag’s interior is equally important to the exterior, Zara’s signature eye-catching linings boast whimsical prints—making each style head-turning, both inside and out.

A third-generation designer, Zara draws inspiration from her parents, who own a successful apparel business, and her Great-Aunt, Ruth Saltz, also a handbag designer. At just 22, Zara launched the Zara Terez collection in Fall 2008. New York is the driving influence behind each design, from Zara’s surfer-chic Atlantic Beach hometown to her current home in Manhattan, each style in the collection pays homage to a different neighborhood of NYC’s five boroughs. Each individual bag reflects its character through
silhouette, an eclectic mix of textures, and thoughtfully placed details.
