Unless you have been sleeping under a rock for the last month, you could not ignore the fact that M.I.A’s album dropped officially today. This melodic mash-up of electro pop sounds and creative music works so well for M.I.A, that her third album is expected to do tremendously better than the previous, Kala. This unique sound works so well for M.I.A, matching her outspoken personality, that it makes you fall in love with it. If you enjoy house and electro pop music, this album will take you to another place as you let the music takeover. The sounds off her album are heavily influenced by her English-Sri Lankan background, and although these two sounds may read completely different, she perfects the art of blending. What’s so amazing about this album, is that instead of the usual 8-10 songs, we are treated to 16, all equally great tracks. Album Favourites include “Teqkilla”, “Lovealot,” “Internet Connection” and “It Takes A Muscle”.
