Hailing straight from the UK, TOPSHOP has finally made its way to Toronto. Up and Coming Ossington Shop Jonathan & Olivia is housing the collection as a “boutique within a boutique” for the trend focused who are looking for constant, quick affordable updates to their wardrobe. The ultimate treat in fast fashion will be carried exclusively at their shop and with keeping all things fresh, and trendy they will be hand picking merchandise every two weeks to be featured in the store. This means that at anytime we can indulge in the latest pieces designed, and harboured by the huge design team behind TOPSHOP without the trek to New York, or London.

The TOPSHOP pieces range from $32.00 for tanks and tees, to $169.00 for their most intricate jeans which are already flying out the door. The line was previewed by Toronto’s fashion crop on June 18th, and then made readily available to the public on Saturday June 19, 2010. The first thing that grabbed everyone’s attention were the fabulous higher then stilts wooden heels priced just under $200.00, and available in half sizes, every woman became quickly obsessed.
Overall the pieces are strong, editorial friendly, and very trend focused. From utilitarian chic, to Rodarte inspired knits, there is something for every fashion maven. From military chic girls, to girls looking for frilly, flowing blouses and cardigans, the chosen pieces that are now featured in the store can be worked into various closets, and embrace not one specific look, but the look(s) of the times. Down the road Jonathan & Olivia expect to see Kate Moss collaborations, TOPSHOP beauty lines, and possibly some menswear.
Being a shop famously known for high quality ultra chic threads by A.P.C, Acne, and Alexander Wang just to name a few, it is nice to see that they are phasing in a level of affordability for the fashion masses to feel as involved in this fashion world, as the most hyper specific “couture” collector.
On top of this new venture for the boutique, they (Jonathan & Olivia) have also proudly built their new online shop, which includes all pieces that can be found in store right from the comfort of your computer and shipped to your door. Unfortunately with the quick turnaround of the TOPSHOP lines they will not be made available online, so for those determined to snag some TOPSHOP goodies, you will have to make your way down to the store.
